"Sweet Ride"

I got a call from a friend today, she asked if I could pick up her daughter and give her a ride to SENHCA this afternoon when I was going to get Caleb. (Her daughter is a home schooler that plays volley ball for the school) So I agreed. I guess it was the first time she had been in my Durango... she said "this is a sweet ride" (she is 16)!
I laughed to myself and thanked her for the compliment and told her that I really liked it too! I a thirty three year old lady with 3 kids has a cool car!! I sure am glad I refused to get a Loser Crusier Mini van!!
oh one more thing....."Yah its got a Hemi"!!!!!

update on hermit crabs

Zachary told his teacher at school that his hermit crab had died. I guess she felt sorry for him, she called me friday night and brought one over to him. Her daughter had one that she wanted to give up so she gave it to Zach. So sweet! I only pray that we can keep it alive for a while. It is a cute little crab with a shell painted like a football. He seems very active. It is nice to know that there are some really thoughtful people still out there.

Adventures in Hermit Crabs

So we have hermit crabs for pets. Caleb got 2 of them last fall. One of those died like 2months later. We got another one to replace the one that died. Well, they are really easy pets for the most part. You have to keep them warm and give them water and food. They eat very little. And will eat most anything. Well, this summer we went to Cape Cod on vacation and at a Flea market we saw Hermit crabs. Zach decided he really would like to pick one out and bring it home. He picked out the one he wanted (it had a painted shell with a butterfly on it) and it came home from vacation with us. The other day I was going to give the crabs a bath and i picked up Hermit ( that is what Zach named him) pretty much just fell out of his shell. Yuck! He was dead. We have had him just 3 weeks or so. Zach was at school when I discovered the death. When we got home I told what had happened. At first he said "that is ok I can get another" then he started crying. Poor Zach! So I told him we could get another one today. We headed to the petstore............only Huge ones.....then another store ....huge ones that were not moving. OH well I guess we will have to go the the Fox run Mall, they usually have them there.

This past weekend

So we went "up North" this weekend. Both my and my hubbys parents live up there. We took our boys to Satan's Village oops I mean Santa's Village. Anyway, it made me realize how old I am getting. I worked at Santa's Village when I was a teenager for four summers, and that is where i met my hubby. It has changed so much and just thinking back at how long it has been.......about 15 years since i worked there, Yikes! Now I have 3 children who think Mommy and Daddy are crazy talking about all of the old times at S.V.. We also went to the Lancaster Fair. The funniest thing was seeing my four year old (Zach) see the animals. First we saw a Momma pig and he says "She has big milkers!" and then we took him into the milking parlor and watched them milk a few cows and he wanted to know "why the cows milkers are so red after they take the machine off"???? I just replied " I don't know Zach" and just laughed to my self! Oh well we had a great weekend!
