Camping at FlatRock...
We had a great time at FlatRock Bridge Resort in Maine. We pulled in Wednesday afternoon and set up in the 90 degree humidity. After setting up we decided to cook dinner and by the time we sat down for that it was almost 7, so needless to say we didnt make it to Prayer meeting. L- Dub headed home around 9 to finish the VBT slide show and get a good nights sleep for a day at work on Thursday. The rest of us showered and headed to bed. Thursday we got up and headed to Church for VBT . Arrived back at Campers ate and headed for the pool and waterslide. The kids had a blast on the waterslide. We started the Beavcoon hunt Thurs afternoon. If you don;t know what a Beavcoon is then you need to watch iCarly more! Every conversation included Beavcoons! Just being silly! Ldub arrived back and we had chicken and scallops for dinner. YUMMM! Friday we were at Church until almost 2 helping finish up VBT. Long day.... headed back to campers and got ready for our swim! L dub created a tidal wave when he came down the waterslide....the kids thought that was great. Friday night we began to get neighbors in the sites near us..one guy from Mass pulled in and said " I will apologize now for our behavior" .....great we are thinking. Since we know the owner we forwarned them and went on with our evening. quiet night nothing too exciting. Slept in a bit Saturday morn and had a big breakfast..bacon, eggs, english muffins...etc. played around went swimming at the bigger pool and came back for a burger. Skip to saturday night.....neighbor decides to build a huge fire. He starts building this tower of wood lincoln log style in his fire pit about 4 feet high. He lights it. it burns and burns and burns.....security comes down (big A's youngest Bro) and says "thats neat, but definately NOT allowed" He comes to talk to us and then heads out to check on another camp site...comes back and fire tower falls all over the grass! Guy gets hose and puts it out! We all laugh!! Sunday We head to Church and come back for lunch a nap and a swim. All and all we had a great time and no major problems..and only a few sprinkles...all 5 nights! We pulled out Monday about 11:30.

How was your school vacation??
What a crazy school vacation week! I would have rather done something fun like Disney World..but that didn't happen, here is what did happen:
Our oldest son had his Cardiac Cath scheduled for Tuesday the 20th at Dartmouth Hitchcock over in Lebanon NH. For a little background on why he needed such a procedure....he was born with multiple heart defects and see's his cardiologist every year. When he saw Dr. F in March we were told that C needed to have a Cath done to check the pressures in his aortic valve and possibly have that valve ballooned to help relieve some of the pressure. So we decided to schedule it for the beginning of school vacation. So Monday we dropped the 2 younger kids off with Friends and headed to Lebanon ( about 2 hours) to stay at a hotel overnight since we have to be at the Hospital so early the next day. C and L-dub enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub while I watched my fav show DWTS. Tuesday morning we got up at 5 am and headed to the hospital we were greeted with a huge surprise, our Assistant Pastor and his wife were there to be with us for the morning! C was brought in and had an IV placed. After seeing a bunch of different Dr's etc they gave him some sleepy medicines and took him off to the Cath Lab. My parents arrived and waited with as and L's parents came a little later on. The procedure was done just before noon and he was brought up to the PICU. Our conversation with his cardiologist was emotional because of the awesome outcome. The Dr was able to reduce the pressure in C's valve from 95 down to 25 and with no leaks! There was s pretty high chance of having a leak after such a procedure..but he made it through with none! Praise GOD!! C had to lay flat in his bed for 6 hours with out moving so the site in his femoral artery could start to heal up. They kept him overnight and L and I were able to stay right with him in his room. He was discharged wednesday morning and we were home by noonish. He has had to take it easy the last couple days but is feeling great! He is limping around a bit but getting better everyday. We are so thankful for everyone's prayers and good thoughts. The LORD really took care of C this week and we are glad to have this behind us. Praise God!

POWERLESS
Well, we survived yet another long power outage.
Thursday night we went to bed listening to the howling wind. It was hard to sleep because the gusts were so loud and strong. We have lots of trees in our yard! Our power had gone on and off several times around 10 and then finally off for good around 11 pm. When we woke up around 7:30 and looked outside it looked like a war zone. Our yard is coverd in branches , bark and debris, but thankfully the 6 trees that snapped off where all in the woods in the back yard. We had noticed that lots of cars were turning around in our driveway, so I walked out to the end of the driveway and saw why.....there was a huge pine tree laying over the road hung up on the power lines. A little farther up the road a big tree was laying in the road blocking half the road. It wad kind of funny watching people drive up to the trees and decide whether they were going to chance driving under the down line and tree and around the 2nd tree. Many turned around and many went right under! Around 3pm we needed to get out of the house, so we went for a drive. We too drove under the downed line and tree and headed toward tolend rd. The boys had a good time seeing all of the "desctruction". Powerlines, trees and debris everywhere! Also some areas had flooding from all the rain we had gotten on wednesday and Thursday. Anyway my hubby was smart enough to buy a generator this fall so we were warm and clean through it all! We turned off the generator last night around 10 and went to bed and we woke up to POWER! YAhoo!!! BTW..we also woke up to a couple inches of wet snow.....YUCK!

Is it broke????
My Hubby, aka L-Dub, had a little mishap with one of his beautiful little toes.....not really sure what exactly happened..no exciting story just that he came into our room the other night and flipped the lights on so I could look at his toe. It was, at the time, just starting to turn black and blue. Well , the next morning his toe was a a lovely shade of aubergine (purplely black) and he was limping a little. I think its broken...do you? (the 3rd toe)
*Note to self......do not go out on the snow and ice covered deck at 11:30 at night in your bare feet to try and move the grill .
What's my name??
So our youngest son has a love for The Mario Brothers video games. His very Favorite Character is Wario...here he is at Halloween. Well, yesterday he informed me that he wants to change his name to ....what else but Wario! I told him that his name is a perfectly good name and that I really didnt think he should change his name. He decided he could wait until he was older to make this change, which I am happy about and will pray that he decides against it!
